Introduction

ESRI® is pleased to announce ArcGIS Schematics and ArcGIS Schematics SDK 2.2.3 Service Pack 1. This Service Pack contains several maintenance fixes, improvements in performance, and enhancements for users and developers using ArcGIS Schematics or ArcGIS Schematics SDK 2.2.3. The fixes deal specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this Service Pack.

We recommend that all ArcGIS Schematics and ArcGIS Schematics SDK 2.2.3 customers, who use or develop applications, download and install this Service Pack at their earliest convenience to ensure the highest quality experience when working with ArcGIS Schematics and ArcGIS Schematics SDK 2.2.3.

Issues Addressed with this Service Pack

NgSpatialDocument

DocCGM running mode: domain coded value description not displayed.
Attribute features: not displayed when domain value name includes spaces (more than one word).
CGM symbols incorrectly generated from ArcMap symbols.
"Error: Arcmap not initialized" message-box now disabled.
In some specific cases, several records associated with a same feature were multiplied when stored in the MySchematic database.

Florev61

CGM symbols origin slightly shifted.
Copy to clipboard and paste to ArcMap layout view modified to use enhanced metafile (EMF) format.

NGO

Localized fonts changed when a schematic session was opened.
Consistency between database and saved schematic files when schematic objects are created in VB code.

NgSpatial

Schematic session path not cleared in memory when several mxd files were successively opened without exiting ArcMap.
Export shapefiles form modified.

NgSpatialTools

Export shapefiles to include containers.
Export shapefiles to export symbol rotation angle.

Designer

Incorrect filter effects form displayed for a sub-link property.
Context help ID added to display help topic about user procedure names and definitions.

NGO22.chm

Addition of 700 html pages complementing the library definition and use.
WMF format changed to EMF.

NgSpatialTools22.chm

Enhanced description on the ExportShapeFile function.

NgDesigner22.chm

Topic listing standard procedures added.

Templates\Session_DocCGM

Link label distance changed (0 instead of 0,5).
Fit all added after Initial Position function.

Templates\Session_DocInDB

Link label distance changed (0 instead of 0,5).

Installing this Service Pack

ArcGIS Schematics 2.2.3

Since this Service Pack replaces several ArcGIS Schematics 2.2.3 files, ArcGIS Schematics 2.2.3 must be installed before you can install this Service Pack.

Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS Desktop installation folder, and that no one is using ArcGIS Desktop.

Download ArcGIS-83-Schematics-Sp1.exe (29 MB) to a location other than your ArcGIS Desktop installation location.
Double-click the setup file to start the install process.

When Setup starts, follow the instructions on your screen.

NOTE: If you have installed client setups from a shared Network Administrative ArcGIS Desktop setup, this Service Pack must be applied to all client installations.

ArcGIS Schematics SDK 2.2.3

Since this Service Pack replaces several ArcGIS Schematics SDK 2.2.3 files, ArcGIS Schematics SDK 2.2.3 must be installed before you can install this Service Pack.

Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS Schematics SDK or Runtime 2.2.3 installation folder, and that no one is using ArcGIS Schematics SDK 2.2.3.

Download ArcGIS-83-SchematicsSDK-Sp1.exe (31 MB) to a location other than your ArcGIS Schematics SDK or Runtime installation location.
Double-click the setup file to start the install process.

When Setup starts, follow the instructions on your screen.

How to identify which Service Pack is installed

To check for the presence of this Service Pack, examine the unique identification information by a (right click, properties, version tab) action under Explorer. With only a few exceptions, all files modified as part of a QFE distribution can be uniquely identified in this manner. Under Windows 2000, select 'Product Version' under the 'Item name' column to see the unique identifier.
