Description
*This package provides the utility to update Intel(R) Boot Agent for the following ThinkPad computers with the:
- IBM 10/100 EtherJet Mini-PCI Adapter with 56K Modem (Intel MiniPCI Ethernet/Modem Combo Card),
- Intel PRO/100 SP Mobile Combo adapter,or
- Intel MiniPCI Ethernet Card.

- ThinkPad A20m, A20p
- ThinkPad A21e, A21m, A21p
- ThinkPad A22m, A22p
- ThinkPad T20, T21, T22
- ThinkPad X20, X21
- ThinkPad TransNote

NOTE:
This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.

(CAUTION)
Versions 4.0.15 and 4.0.17 requires particular ThinkPad BIOS versions (listed below) for WOL based remote installations. If you plan to do remote installations with IBA 4.0.15 or IBA 4.0.17, please use these newer ThinkPad BIOS versions, or the ThinkPad may hang on boot.

II. Installation instructions
  1. Confirm that either Intel MiniPCI Ethernet/Modem Combo card or Intel MiniPCI Ethernet card is installed in the system.
  2. Boot the system with the Intel(R) Boot Agent diskette.
  3. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
  4. When Power off the computer is displayed, remove the diskette and power off the computer.
 
III. Determining which version is installed
  1. Confirm that either Intel MiniPCI Ethernet/Modem Combo Card or Intel MiniPCI Ethernet Card is installed in the MiniPCI slot.
  2. Power on the system.
  3. Press F12 key to list boot devices while the IBM ThinkPad logo screen is being displayed. This lists bootable devices.
